On this episode of Andy’s Auto Sport TV, we show you how to improve the handling of your car by adding some lowering springs to our project firebird. Not only do these hotchkis springs improve the handling, but they also look awesome by closing up that wheel gap. From stock replacement parts to high-performance aftermarket accessories, Andy’s Auto Sport has what you need to get the looks and power your vehicle deserves.

I love the LS1 Gen 4 Camaros and Firebirds. I currently own a 2001 Camaro SS and I am looking to lower the car 1 inch. I also want to put the widest wheel/tire combination possible. I understand that it is possible to go up to 315s depending on the diameter and with a little work on the rear inside fender and some rolling of the outside fender. Any thoughts on this are appreciated.
So you CAN put lowering springs on stock struts.
